This truck has a well-traveled history behind it already and is ready for the next chapter – it has already been on 4 continents to date and has a long service history. The manageable size of this rig makes it great for getting out in the woods, but it's still small enough to maneuver in a grocery store parking lot. The only real question is, where will YOU take it?!?
We picked this up earlier in the year based on its uniqueness that's true to the Land Rover spirit – supremacy, authenticity, guts, worldly, and adventurous. The team at Osprey Custom Cars, the world-renowned Defender specialists in Castle Hayne, NC carried out the conversion from RHD to LHD. And, the 300Tdi is the absolute best Land Rover motor for off-the-grid durability and legendary reliability. It's not picky for fuel and still the number one engine for expedition trucks. The later model R380 5-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly and easily.
The rear area features loads of storage and includes a refrigerator, stove, onboard heater, onboard water heater – and plenty of room up top for surfboards, bikes, etc.. The vehicle is equipped with two diesel fuel tanks for increased driving range and has a large propane tank to feed the water heater and the stove. The new tenting features plenty of ventilation for those nights spent out enjoying nature.
