I have only used it once to make a 2.5lb batch of beef jerky, but it is great! seems built very well, and made me a very professional looking batch of jerky and meat sticks!

Got the jerky gun today and immediately put it to use. It was easy to use, easy to clean thanks to the included brushes. Love having the included storage bag because there are several pieces that would get lost with out it. So far I am very happy with this product

I bought this a few weeks ago and today was the first time I got to use the Jerky Gun. Some reviewers said they thought they were getting the 1.5 lb gun but got the 1 lb gun instead. I made sure mine was the 1.5 gun. This came with a bag to store all your stuff in.Made 2 ground beef jerky recipes and marinated my mixtures overnight. Used both of the flat nozzles (the double and single). I grind my own meat and there is that little bits of meat in my grinder that doesn't quite get ground, so I had chop it with my cleaver. Apparently I didn't chop it fine enough as it got stuck in the nozzle.What I learned is when you squeeze the trigger, it's pushing the plunger more forward. I'm not sure what the white tube is for. I should probably check what it's for. Anyway, the plunger pushes the meat forward as you squeeze pump the trigger. If your meat isn't tiny, it will get stuck in the flat nozzles. But not a big deal. You just pull those meat pieces out and toss.I dehydrated the meat in my NuWave Brio 14 Qt Air Fryer, which has 4 trays. My Oster XL Toaster oven has 2 large racks. My oven is filled with kitchen gadgets and appliances as I rarely use it for its intended purposes. I had a few Kindle Jerky recipe books and chose a couple recipes.Pros:- Love the aluminum body- 4 different nozzles- 2 cleaning brushes (one for the body and the smaller one to get in tight spaces)- All the parts seem like they are quality made, nothing flimsy- Screwing on and off seems relatively easyCons:- Although it was fairly easy to figure out without an instructions manual, for those who might be more challenged as to how to put things together, it might be good to have a tutorial or link to a video on how to assemble and clean- It would be nice for the plunger thing to push further into the nozzle to push more meat through, but I can see how this wouldn't work with the round nozzles. It would be nice to have the plunger have another thing inside it to allow for further pushing of the meat in the flat nozzles that could be activated mechanically.I would recommend this jerky gun. I hope it'll last me years to come. This jerky gun is much easier than flattening my meat and then have to refrigerate overnight and then later cut into pieces. All you have to do is marinate your meat and then stuff the tubing and use the gun to get your jerky. Saves a lot of time.
