Vintage 1998 - Back to Basics Food Dehydrator - Model #FD-600

Description

This is a nice, complete 1998 vintage Back to Basics brand food dehydrator.  It has 5 trays and one plastic liner for making fruit "leathers".
The blower and heating element work in it, and it runs smoothly.  The trays have an ingenious little spacer system built in that's sort of hard to explain. Basically, you can turn the trays and it will space them further apart to accommodate thicker items without touching the tray above.
I've had several brands of dehydrators, and this is a nicely-built unit.  Instead of a thermostat, this one has an on/off switch, but it does put out heat - it's not just a fan.

I REALLY appreciate your supporting me by buying my junk…err…TREASURES…and hope they bring you a bit of happiness.  I try and find cool vintage “survivor” pieces, and I still get a rush of nostalgia when I run across an item that my folks had when I was growing up.  I am notoriously CHEAP, and your item will almost certainly arrive in a recycled box with recycled (but ALWAYS CLEAN!) packing materials.  I do keep a reasonable standard of appearance, but you won’t mistake them for Amazon boxes.... unless you happen to get a recycled Amazon box, maybe.
